How we manage sustainability
In Skanska, we believe that Sustainability is just another aspect of good business practice. Therefore, our Sustainability Agenda is incorporated in the responsibilities of our line organization, unless there is a very strong reason for forming a dedicated team. For example, Business Ethics is championed by our legal and internal audit functions.
All GRI components have been mapped in this way so that each has an appropriate functional champion.
As a decentralized organization, implementation is the responsibility of line management, supported by corporate champions and individuals/teams with appropriate competence in each Business Unit (BU).
