The residential project “Lilla Bantorget” is situated in the center of Stockholm next to the Grand Central Station. The project is a part of the revitalization of the dull and somewhat dirty area close to the Norra Bantorget square and the railway tracks. The old existing buildings around the Norra Bantorget square will be complemented with new apartment buildings, a new first-class hotel, shops, offices and green garden areas. There will also be a new underground garage that will make it possible to create the new park on former parking spaces.
The city of Stockholm has already started the traffic-, roads- and infrastructure works and the hotel construction is on the way (both with Skanska as general contractor).
Besides the above construction works and our “Lilla Bantorget” project Skanska will invest and develop a new office building of some 16.000 square meters. The office will serve as a sound barrier between the apartments and the railway tracks and is a necessity for the residential project
