Lynnwood Link Extension (L300) opens new routes to connect greater Seattle
Starting in 2019, our USA Civil and USA Building teams in Washington, have been working with Sound Transit to deliver L300, a critical extension of Seattle’s light rail system enhancing transit throughout the area.

A new era of public transit is taking shape between Shoreline and Lynnwood, Washington, with 3.7 miles of new guideway alignment making it possible.
L300 by the numbers
Four stations
(Shoreline South/148th, Shoreline North/185th, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood City Center) mark the L300 extension of light rail service from Northgate into Snohomish County.
1,670 parking spots
in the Lynnwood Transit Center’s five‑story parking garage let riders leave their cars and travel to destinations such as downtown Bellevue in under an hour on existing light rail.
97 percent
of McAleer Creek’s original wetlands were preserved by the team through the use of a temporary soldier‑pile wall with tiebacks, preventing significant encroachment.
Only 4 I-5 closures
were needed after team members adjusted construction methods in both traffic directions, down from the planned 16.
178 employees
stepped into new roles to expand their skillsets throughout the project's lifecycle.
15 interns
stepped into civil and building construction roles throughout the lifecycle of the project.
