Our history

Skanska’s global story began in Sweden in 1887. We started as a concrete manufacturer – a fitting beginning for a company focused on building for the long term. From the start, we were driven by two ambitions: to innovate and to create solutions that benefit people and society. These ambitions continue to guide us today.
