We are committed to ethical business practices. If you witness or suspect any behaviour or actions that are illegal, unethical, or otherwise in violation of our Code of Conduct or company policies, please let us know so that we can take timely action.
We foster a culture of care, which includes open discussion even about difficult topics. We encourage both Skanska employees and our partners and stakeholders to raise questions and concerns.
You can raise the matter with your own supervisor or site management. Once informed, they are obliged to investigate the issue and, if necessary, forward the report to the party responsible for handling the matter.
Provide only the information that is relevant or assumed to be relevant to the reported violation. Do not include sensitive personal data, such as health information, unless it is necessary for the report.
We recommend using a secure sendfile function if possible.
You can submit a report either anonymously or under your own name.
Please include only information that is relevant or presumed relevant to the reported violation. Do not disclose sensitive personal data, such as health information, unless providing it is necessary for handling the report.
Reports are submitted through our Hotline reporting channel. You will receive confirmation of your report within seven days, and further information on the handling of the report and any actions taken or planned no later than three months after the report is submitted.

Our ethics committee provides general guidance on ethical practices, advises Skanska employees on work‑related ethical questions, and investigates suspected ethical violations when necessary.
The committee consists of Skanska’s General Counsel, HR Manager, and representatives from different employee groups. We consider this diverse composition important.
The committee meets and addresses matters four times a year. Both Skanska employees and our partners can contact the committee.
Questions for the committee are anonymised before discussion. If a question concerns, for example, an individual’s employment relationship, it is forwarded without delay to the appropriate function, such as our HR team.
Anyone—in Skanska, or among our customers, partners, or other stakeholders—may contact either the Hotline whistleblower channel or the ethics committee.
Yes. You can file an anonymous report through our Hotline whistleblower channel. See the contact details above.
Yes. You may report suspicions as well.
It is always better to raise a concern than to leave something unaddressed. As long as you report in good faith, we will gladly look into it.
Our culture of openness and speaking up helps us maintain high ethical standards, making Skanska a better workplace—for our partners as well.
However, you must have a reasonable basis for suspecting misconduct. You do not need concrete evidence, but knowingly submitting false reports is prohibited.
Any retaliation against a reporting person—and any attempt to prevent or influence a report—is strictly prohibited. This is required not only by our ethical guidelines but also by whistleblower protection legislation.
The law obliges companies to ensure that misconduct can be reported safely and that the identities of both the reporting person and the subject of the report are protected throughout the process.
The reporting person will not face negative consequences for including information that is otherwise confidential under employment contracts or legislation, if the information is necessary for the report.
By law, a reporting person is entitled to compensation and damages if they experience retaliation or if someone prevents or attempts to prevent them from reporting misconduct.
We do not take retaliatory actions against a reporting person, regardless of whether the report falls under whistleblower legislation or concerns another type of suspected violation.
We process all reports in accordance with our ethical principles.
The Ethics Committee reviews questions four times a year. Questions are anonymised before discussion. If a question concerns, for example, an individual’s employment relationship, it is forwarded immediately to the correct function, such as HR.
All reports submitted through the Hotline are logged in the system.
You will receive confirmation of your report within seven days, and further information about the processing of the report and any actions taken or planned within three months of submitting it.
Only specifically designated individuals within Skanska handle these reports.
If you submit a report via the Hotline reporting channel (online, by phone, or via the app), you will receive an acknowledgment of your report within seven days. You will also receive information about how the report is being handled and about any actions taken or to be taken no later than three months after submitting the report.
Depending on the matter, the process may sometimes take less time and sometimes longer. You can, however, trust that we will investigate every case consistently and thoroughly.
We process all reports—regardless of the channel—fairly and consistently, based on the information available. We also stay in contact with the reporting person to provide updates.
Unfortunately, we cannot always verify the information reported to us. We welcome additional details if you have them.
In some cases, we may reach a different conclusion than the reporting person hoped for. We always explain our reasoning.
In certain cases involving misconduct covered by whistleblower legislation, reports can be submitted directly to the channel maintained by the Office of the Chancellor of Justice, while still receiving whistleblower protection.
Good question—neither the Ethics Committee nor the Hotline reporting channel is the correct place for customer feedback or complaints. Please contact our customer service so you receive a response as quickly as possible:
If you have questions or concerns about an issue or about reporting it, you can always contact the ethics committee:
