Skanska builds transit facility in Northeast, USA, for USD 54 M, about SEK 351 M

Skanska has signed a contract with the Worcester Regional Transit Authority to build the agency’s new maintenance and operations facility in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. Of the anticipated total project value, which is approximately USD 60 M, about SEK 390 M, Skanska USA Building has included SEK 54 M, about SEK 351 M, in order bookings for the second quarter of 2014.

Skanska will construct a new 14,000 square-meter facility, which will include administrative offices, a public meeting space, operations dispatching, bus storage, maintenance shops and additional parking.

Construction has begun and substantial completion is expected in the first quarter of 2016.
