Skanska builds schools in Fairfield, Ohio, for USD 46 M, about SEK 390 M

Skanska in joint venture with Megen Construction has signed a contract with Fairfield City Schools and the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission to construct school buildings in Fairfield, Ohio. The total value of the contract is USD 65 M, about SEK 550 M, and Skanska will include its share, USD 46 M, about SEK 390 M, in order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the second quarter of 2015.

Fairfield City School

The project includes the demolition of Central Elementary and Fairfield Freshman School, and construction of three school buildings with a total area of about 30,000 square meters. All three buildings have been pre-registered for LEED certification consideration.

Construction will begin in September 2015 with an anticipated completion date in August 2017.
