Skanska reconstructs the Slussen area in Stockholm, Sweden, for SEK 2 billion

The City of Stockholm has, in public procurement, selected Skanska as contractor for the two largest projects in the framework of reconstruction of Slussen, Stockholm. The value of the contracts are about SEK 1.2 billion and SEK 750 M respectively, and the total amount will be included in order bookings for Skanska Sweden for the third quarter of 2015. 

Skanska-Slussen From Waterplaza to C Building

Construction works will start in the summer of 2016, with expected completion in 2022. The contracts will be implemented in extended collaboration with the client, so-called partnering.

Skanska Sweden is one of Sweden’s largest construction companies, with operations in building and civil-engineering construction. The business unit has approximately 11,000 employees and revenue in 2014 amounted to approximately SEK 30 billion. In Sweden, Skanska is also active in the development of residential construction and commercial premises.
