Skanska renews maintenance contract in Argentina for about ARS 1.2 billion, about SEK 1.2 billion

Skanska has won a contract to perform maintenance services on the Cerro Dragón oil field in Chubut, Argentina. The amount of the contract is about ARS 1.2 billion, about SEK 1.2 billion. The order will be booked centrally in the first quarter 2015.

The contract is won by Skanska’s operations and maintenance business in Latin America. The contract comprises the execution of electrical and mechanical services on equipment and facilities at Golfo San Jorge area, during a three-year period, with option for a two-year extension.

Last year Skanska announced it will wind down its operations in Latin America and exit the market. Skanska is completing ongoing construction contracts and not bidding for new construction projects. The operations and maintenance business in Latin America will be divested.
