Skanska builds Women and Children’s Health Building in Delaware, USA, for USD 178M, about SEK 1.5 billion

Skanska has signed a contract to build the new Women and Children’s Health Building for Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware, USA. The contract is worth USD 178M, about SEK 1.5 billion, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska USA Building in the third quarter 2016.

This 8-story, 36,000-square-meter expansion will include a replacement neonatal intensive-care unit, and the expansion of outpatient units, and lab, pharmacy and dietary clinical and logistical support services. The expansion also includes the expansion of a 4-level parking garage for patients and visitors, which Skanska was previously awarded.

Construction is underway and the project is slated for completion in January 2020.
