Skanska invests EUR 46M, about SEK 430M, in a new office project in Helsinki, Finland, with a gross leasable area of 12,000 square meters. The construction contract is worth EUR 33M, about SEK 310M, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska Finland for the third quarter 2016.
The new building is located in Lintulahti area close to the sea and less than two kilometers from the Helsinki city center. It is within easy reach by both public transport and car. In the area, industrial history meets a modern urban environment, where living, working, and leisure are simultaneously present, creating a new kind of urban culture. The multi-tenant office building is designed to meet the demands of the LEED environmental certification process.
The construction works of the office building will commence immediately and the building will be completed during the spring 2019.
Skanska Commercial Development Nordic has so far completed four office projects in Finland. The latest completed project is Aviabulevardi I in Aviapolis, Vantaa, close to the Helsinki airport.

The company’s operations are concentrated in the three metropolitan regions in Sweden, the Copenhagen region in Denmark, the Oslo region in Norway, as well as Helsinki in Finland.
