Skanska sells office property in Malmö, Sweden, for SEK 1 billion

Skanska has signed an agreement with Ikano on the transfer of the office property Klipporna in Malmö, Sweden, for SEK 1 billion. The divestment will be recorded by Skanska Commercial Development Nordic in the second quarter 2016. The transfer of the property will be on June 30.

The property is located at Hyllie station in Malmö and consists of three phases of offices with parking in the basement and covers about 19,000 square meters of office space. Tenants are Ikano, IKEA, Skanska, Siemens and AAK.

Klipporna, which is designed by Henning Larsen Architects, has a classic Scandinavian design, with three buildings like three rocks sprung from the limestone rock. The property is equipped with Skanska's award-winning and patented cooling system "Deep Green Cooling". Klipporna’s strong environmental profile is reflected throughout the property, which is pre-certified LEED Platinum.

Skanska Commercial Development Nordic initiates and develops property projects in offices, logistics, business premises and rental apartments. The company’s operations are concentrated in the three metropolitan regions in Sweden, the Copenhagen region in Denmark, the Oslo region in Norway, as well as Helsinki in Finland. The development of logistic properties are conducted in strategic locations in Sweden and rental apartments in Copenhagen.
