Skanska builds nursing home in Oslo, Norway, for NOK 440 million, about SEK 460 M

Skanska has signed a contract with Omsorgsbygg to build a nursing home in Oslo, Norway. The contract is worth NOK 440 M, about SEK 460 M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the second quarter 2018.

Lindeberg nursing home will include 144 rooms, good facilities for residents and an administrative part for the employees. The nursing home will have a total gross area of about 16,000 square meters.

The nursing home, which will be equipped with solar cells on both roofs and facades, is environmentally certified according to BREEAM-Excellent and has the ambition to be classified as a Net Zero Energy Building, NZEB. The project will also be carried out as a fossil-free construction site.

Construction commences during the second quarter of 2018 and the nursing home is scheduled to be completed by mid-2020.
