Skanska builds new high school in Milwaukie, Oregon, USA, for USD 75 M, about SEK 670 M

Skanska has signed a contract with the North Clackamas School District to build a new Milwaukie High School in Milwaukie, Oregon, USA. The contract is worth USD 75 M, about SEK 670 M, which will be included in US order bookings for the fourth quarter 2018.

The 12,000-square-meter school will feature a modern academic center, health and wellness center, new gymnasium and a performing arts center. The project includes modernization of 2,500-square-meter adjacent sports facilities. Improvements will be made to the HVAC system as well as seismic upgrades. The updates to the sports facility and grounds include a football field, resurfacing of gym floors and track, relocation of ball fields, added tennis courts and more parking.

Construction began in June 2018, and the project is scheduled for completion August 2021.
