Skanska sells care home in Gothenburg, Sweden, for about SEK 290 M
Skanska has sold a care home in Gothenburg, Sweden, for about SEK 290 M. The buyer is Altura. The transaction will be recorded in the Commercial Property Development stream in the fourth quarter 2019. The transfer will take place in the summer of 2021. A lease agreement has previously been signed with Vardaga.
The four-storey Villa Kviberg will consist of 77 apartments and comprise a total of 5,000 square meters. It will be located in an area where Skanska has developed the residential project Kvibergs Ängar. The care home, which is developed and built by Skanska Sweden, has high sustainability requirements and will be certified according to LEED. The building will be equipped with solar cells on the roof.
Construction began in the summer of 2019 and is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2021.
