Skanska to complete demolition and abatement of four buildings in New York City, USA, for USD 36.5 M, about SEK 350 M
Skanska has signed a contract with Hudson Square Realty, LLC to complete the abatement and demolition of four buildings and an on-grade parking lot in lower Manhattan. The contract is worth USD 36.5 M, about SEK 350 M, which will be included in the US order bookings for the second quarter of 2019.
Skanska will complete hazardous material abatement and the full demolition of two eight-story buildings and two two-story buildings, as well as an on-grade parking lot, located in the Hudson Square neighborhood of lower Manhattan. The contract also includes the lateral bracing of existing perimeter foundation walls in preparation for a new building foundation system, which will be installed under a separate contract.
Construction officially began in May of 2019 and will continue through the second quarter of 2020.
