Skanska to complete renovation of Post Office in New York City, USA, for USD 339 M, about SEK 3 billion
Skanska USA has signed a contract with developers Vornado Realty Trust and Related Companies to complete the final major phase of renovation to the James A. Farley Post Office Building in Manhattan. The contract is worth USD 339 M, about SEK 3 billion, which will be included in the US order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2018.
Skanska will develop the core and shell for approximately 79,000 square meters of interior office and retail space and complete the restoration of the Farley Building’s historic façade. Skanska will also be responsible for the development and installation of new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building infrastructure.
Construction on the project is ongoing and will continue through 2021.
