Skanska builds commercial office in Swindon, UK, for GBP 37 M, about SEK 450 M

Skanska has signed a contract with Zurich Insurance to build a new commercial office in Swindon, UK. The contract is worth GBP 37 M, about SEK 450 M, which will be included in the order bookings for Europe for the third quarter 2020.

Skanska will construct approximately 9,300 square meters of office space over six floors, featuring a terrace at roof level. Skanska is also responsible for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services and will provide the specialist piling ground engineering solutions.

The building is expected  to achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ on completion.

Construction work starts July 2020 and is scheduled to complete April 2022.
