Gullhaug Torg 2A is a mixed-use building with 18 floors comprising of 11,200 square meters, which will house a restaurant, office space and 41 apartments. The building has very high ambitions when it comes to sustainability and will utilize cutting edge innovations which greatly reduces its energy consumption.

The building will almost meet zero-energy levels and not require externally supplied energy for ventilation, heating, or cooling. Gullhaug Torg 2A aims for a BREEAM NOR Excellent certification and is a FutureBuilt project, which means that it must reduce CO2 emissions from the materials used, transport and energy consumption by 50 percent compared to a conventional building.

The construction work is due to start in June 2021 and will be completed by July 2023.

Skanska is one of the leading construction- and project development companies in the Nordics, with operations in building construction and civil engineering in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and developing residential- and commercial property projects in select home markets. The commercial development stream is also active in Denmark. Skanska had sales of about SEK 66 billion and about 14,800 employees in its Nordic operations during 2020.
