Skanska builds new school in Texas, USA, for USD 57M, about SEK 550M
Skanska has signed a contract with Comal Independent School District to build a new middle school in Bulverde, Texas, USA. The contract is worth USD 57M, about SEK 550M, which will be included in the US order bookings for the second quarter 2022.
The project includes construction of a new middle school complex, sports field, water detention basin, water storage tank, and associated driveways and utilities within a 40-acre tract of land. The new 15,800-square meter middle school, Comal Middle School #8, will support 1,100 students in Comal ISD and provide relief to adjacent schools experiencing continued enrollment growth.
Work is slated to begin in September 2022 and expected to reach completion in September 2023.
