Skanska has signed a contract with the City of Helsinki to build new apartments in Helsinki, Finland. The contract is worth EUR 31M, about SEK 360M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2023.
The project consists of two apartment buildings which are six to twelve storeys high, totaling 148 apartments in 10,200 square meters. In addition, a four-storey parking garage will be built. The residential buildings will represent the highest energy efficiency class and are aiming for an environmental classification. All three buildings will include rooftop solar panels which will help generate some of the electricity used by the properties.
Construction is planned to start in the fourth quarter of 2023 and be completed at the end of the third quarter of 2025.
