The construction project is the second stage of a strategic partnership between Skanska and AB Kristianstadsbyggen to transform the old hospital area into an attractive new district with housing and a park.

Great importance is placed on making the new district sustainable. During the construction of the new houses, a lot of material from previous demolition will be reused, such as brick for facades and granite for the outdoor environment. There will also be an investment in solar cells in the project.

The new houses will be between five and eight storeys and have a gross area of just over 14,000 square metres. Skanska will also be responsible for preparing the streets and park in the area.

Construction is planned to start in the second quarter of 2023 with completion in the first quarter of 2027.
