The new municipal building, designed by the architectural firm CF Møller, is being built on the property where the old municipal building was situated. The building will be four stories high and have a gross area of approximately 5,400 square meters. The office building will be the workplace for approximately 450 of the municipality's employees in an activity-based office environment.

The municipal building meets high sustainability requirements and will be certified according to BREEAM, level Outstanding. The building will also qualify for energy class A, according to the Housing Authority's requirements. The climate impact will be very low, partly because wood is the primary building material supplemented with climate-improved concrete. In addition to this, innovative and efficient energy solutions are used to achieve a very low energy requirement during operation.

The new municipal building is expected to be ready in the fall of 2025.
