Skanska builds retail premises for Ingka Centres in Kållered, Sweden, for about SEK 380M

Skanska has signed an agreement with Ingka Centres Kållered Retail Park AB to build new retail premises adjacent to the IKEA department store in Kållered, Gothenburg, Sweden. The assignment is worth approximately SEK 380M, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska Sweden in the fourth quarter, 2024.

The trading area in Kållered today has around 20 stores in addition to the large IKEA department store. The new premises that Skanska will build cover approximately 20,000 square meters and will make room for around ten new shops and fast-food restaurants. Skanska's assignment also includes preparing parking areas and goods reception.

Sustainability is an important guiding light for the project and the intention is for the commercial building to be certified according to BREEAM, level Excellent.

Construction work will begin immediately, and the project should be completed in the end of 2025.
