Skanska carries out site preparation for upcoming neighborhood in Stockholm, Sweden, for about SEK 300M

Skanska has signed a contract with the Exploitation Office of the City of Stockholm to carry out site preparation for an upcoming neighborhood at Årstafältet, south of Stockholm, Sweden. The contract is worth about SEK 300M which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska Sweden for the fourth quarter of 2024.

The contract includes ground- and utility works with elements of landscaping. The work mainly involves soil reinforcement, extensive and complex new installations and relocations of utilities, as well as the construction of service roads.

The project will use 100% fossil-free fuels for all vehicles and machinery within the work area as well as for the transportation of materials such as soil, rock, ballast, and asphalt to and from the site.

Work will commence in March 2025 and is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2028.
