Skanska builds new backup water treatment plant in Turku, Finland, for EUR 48M, about SEK 540M

Skanska has signed a contract with Turun Seudun Vesi to build a new backup water treatment plant in Turku, Finland. The contract is worth EUR 48M, about SEK 540M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the first quarter of 2025.

The project encompasses the construction of the facility, along with the installation of HVAC systems, process piping, and machinery, in addition to all complementary structures. The new backup water treatment plant will span approximately 8,400 square meters and is set to replace the existing backup facility.

The construction is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2025 and is anticipated to be completed in the third quarter of 2028.
