Skanska builds soccer stadium and indoor swim center in Landskrona, Sweden, for about SEK 580M

Skanska has signed an agreement with the Municipality of Landskrona to build a new soccer stadium and an indoor swim center at the Karlslund sports and recreation area. The agreement is worth about SEK 580M, which will be included in the order intake for Sweden in the second quarter of 2025.

The project includes a new soccer stadium, approved for games in the highest division, with a capacity of 6,800 spectators, all of which are under roof. In addition, a new indoor swim center will be built, which will contain two swimming pools, a 50-meter pool and a 25-meter pool with a height-adjustable bottom and a swimming play area.

Skanska has been carrying out preparatory work in a first phase together with the Municipality of Landskrona since last summer. The construction project is an important part of a larger development of the Karlslund recreation area.

Construction is scheduled to start in August this year. The arena is expected to be completed in 2027, while the swim center is expected to be ready for use in 2028.
