Skanska builds multi-family houses in Bratislava, Slovakia, for EUR 45M, about SEK 480M

Skanska has signed a new contract to build a residential complex in Bratislava, Slovakia. The Matadorka Living project is being developed by Nová Matadorka, a.s., a part of OPTIMAL DEVELOPMENT. The contract is worth EUR 45M, about SEK 480M, which will be included in the order bookings for Europe for the second quarter of 2026.

The project includes the construction of the next phase of Matadorka Living residential project. It consists of five residential buildings with nine to ten floors and a total of 229 new apartments and 22 commercial units as well as two-storey underground garages.

Developed on the site of the former Matador industrial complex in Petržalka, Matadorka Living will regenerate a brownfield area into a contemporary urban neighbourhood with housing and public spaces while respecting the location’s industrial heritage.

Construction is expected to commence in September 2026, and it´s scheduled to complete by 2029.
