Skanska Norway

We are one of the country's largest contractors and project developers, with around 4400 employees and a number of projects underway across the country - at any given time.

In short

Our vision is simple: we build for a better society. That means schools that provide space for learning, hospitals that save lives, roads that make the journey safer, and homes that provide good living. We develop the workplaces of the future, and build with people and the environment in mind.

Across Norway, Europe, and the USA, we are nearly 30,000 colleagues, problem solvers, and innovators at Skanska.

Behind us, we have almost 140 years of trust from our customers and great projects all over the world. Built on innovation, honesty, and responsibility.

We believe in long-term partnerships that transform complex challenges into lasting value.

We build responsibly, innovatively, and efficiently for people, society, and our planet.

Our history

Our history in Norway started with Ing. F. Selmer in 1906. The company was a pioneer, among other things, in the development of construction methods with reinforced concrete and is behind iconic projects across Norway. Since then, we have grown, and in 2004 we became Skanska Norway. Today, we combine over a hundred years of experience with innovation and sustainability – because we believe that the buildings of the future are about more than materials. It is about quality of life, safety, and choices that last.
