Are you curious about the construction industry and want to work as a civil engineer or carpenter, then you have come to the right place.

We want to inspire more women to start working in the construction industry. Therefore, we offer women, without previous experience in the industry, the opportunity to develop in a practical craft profession together with us.
On February 4, 2026, we invited to a digital information meeting about the apprenticeship program for women. During the broadcast, we met former participants and the person responsible for education. We answered questions about the first period as an apprentice, working hours, what it is like to change careers in the middle of life, and much more.

The application for the next round of Skanska's apprenticeship program for women opens in the spring of 2027.
Woodworker / carpenter
Within our housing production, we build everything from residences and hotels to large hospitals and community properties. The different stages of construction projects mean that both tasks and focus vary over time as we are involved throughout the entire process, from pouring the foundation slab to the finished building. Depending on the project you work on, your tasks can be varied and include, among other things, installation of doors, building roofs, and assembling walls. If you are curious about being involved throughout the entire construction process, this is the role for you.
Road and construction workers
In our road and construction projects, we build roads, railways, bridges, and tunnels. We create conditions for future housing construction by establishing infrastructure such as road networks, water pipes, power supply, and foundations. Our projects vary in size, from smaller local ones to larger ones with a significant impact on many in the community. This creates opportunities for varied tasks including pipe laying, paving, and road construction.
