Asphalt milling

Asphalt milling is an effective and sustainable method used to improve already paved road and construction surfaces. Through milling combined with a new wearing course, worn roadways can become like new. We offer several types of milling, from thin surfaces to deeper pavements and removal where the entire pavement thickness is taken away.

Overall responsibility within asphalt milling

Our assignments include everything from pedestrian and bicycle paths to runways. We provide advice when you need it and can take full responsibility for your project.

Our services in asphalt milling

Precision milling

For projects that require high precision, we use fine-toothed milling drums and machine control for a smooth surface and efficient production.

Removal of the entire coating thickness

We mill away the entire surface, which is more time-efficient than digging. Suitable for projects with larger damages or the need for a new base layer.

Engraving milling

In cases of bearing capacity problems, we mill down to 30 centimeters and mix in new material directly into the road to create a stronger structure.

Concrete milling

We mill concrete surfaces as needed, for example during the renovation of harder surfaces.

Why choose Skanska?

All milling material is returned to our asphalt plants and used in new asphalt, which reduces the need for new raw materials.

Asphalt milling is a method that minimizes waste and saves time compared to digging up all the pavement.

The method can be used for a wide range of jobs, from walkways to airport runways.

Updated technology and long experience make Skanska the market leader in milling.
