About the Advanced Forming Research Centre

The Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC) is a globally recognised centre of excellence for innovative manufacturing technologies, research and development, and metal forming and forging research.

The £35 million facility is a collaborative venture between the University of Strathclyde, Scottish Enterprise, the UK Government and leading multinational engineering firms. It is one of seven elite centres that form the UK High Value Manufacturing Catapult, helping drive the future growth and success of UK manufacturing.

Our facilities management support

We provide full facilities management services, including planned maintenance and 24/7 emergency cover, for both the AFRC in Renfrewshire and the University of Strathclyde’s Power Networks Demonstration Centre in Cumbernauld.

Our contract includes a full range of services, with monthly reporting forming part of our regular communication with the university estates team to help ensure everything runs as efficiently as possible. As expected at the cutting edge of technology, we also use high-tech innovations and software, including our computer aided facilities management (CAFM) services.
