Safety within infrastructure service

We offer safe solutions for both staff and passing traffic around the workplace. In the project, we identify risks related to traffic flow and other critical moments.

Traffic regulation for safe roads

To guarantee that our projects on the roads are safe, traffic must sometimes be regulated so that the work can proceed safely for both the contractor and the road users.

If traffic needs to be regulated, we follow the order of the Swedish Work Environment Authority.

a.

Traffic is redirected so that the work is not affected.

b.

Traffic is directed so that vehicles pass at a safe distance.

c.

The traffic is separated from the workplace with traffic arrangements. To the extent necessary, there shall also be protective devices that effectively prevent or divert traffic from entering the workplace.

Additionally, the following measures may be necessary

d.

The speed is reduced past the workplace through road signs, road signs, or other appropriate measures.

e.

Traffic is directed past the workplace by a specially appointed person (signal guard) or with traffic signals.

Planning and measures

Planning and measures are also required to meet the road authority's requirements for safety and accessibility, taking into account protection against collisions, noise, exhaust gases, vibrations, and climate factors such as cold and heat, rain and wind.

Clear signage

To clarify that road work is in progress for road users, we always sign with the A20 sign, warning of road work, before the work area. When work is being carried out on a road where protection is lacking, a TMA vehicle is a good option to improve the working environment for the personnel performing road work.
