Health & safety

Everyone deserves to go home safe and healthy, every day. That’s our commitment. Health & safety isn’t just a rulebook, it’s part of who we are.

A culture of care

Safety starts with people. We learn from every incident because every lesson makes us safer. We understand that standards alone do not create safety, culture does.

Our health, safety and wellbeing strategy

We focus on three priorities that guide how we operate and care for each other:

Leadership and culture

Creating a culture where every leader sets the tone, models safe behaviours and empowers others to speak up and take action.

Risk management

Identifying, managing and eliminating risk at every stage of planning and delivery.

Enablement

Equipping our people with the skills, tools and confidence to put safety first, every time.

Together, these priorities guide how we plan, deliver and continuously improve health, safety and wellbeing across all our projects.

Our health and safety expectations

Our health and safety standards go beyond UK legal requirements. This is the level of commitment we expect from everyone who works alongside us. To understand what this means in practice, download our minimum standards documents.

Our Injury-Free Environment (IFE) programme

An injury‑free environment goes beyond procedures to create a culture of care where everyone takes responsibility for protecting themselves and those around them. Everyone working on our sites attends a four‑hour IFE orientation. By strengthening personal awareness and shared responsibility, we create safer, healthier and happier workplaces.
