Road Technology Center

Our department for the Road Technology Center consists of a group for machine design as well as three groups for manufacturing and delivery control of asphalt, rock materials, and concrete.

Development

With noise reduction, durability, stability, and lifespan in focus, we develop our own range. We offer asphalt products, tools for road dimensioning, road inventory, annual cost calculations, and damage investigations. Recycling of existing asphalt, lower energy consumption, and other methods to reduce carbon dioxide emissions are areas where the collaboration between the technology organization and production is intensive.

International participation

In addition to a large number of internal development projects, we also participate in external development projects that can be international. The work has resulted in a number of technical innovations that are implemented in the operations. Examples of this are the thin-layer and binder layer coatings Tyst Asfalt, fully crushed concrete ballast, and self-compacting concrete.

Optimization of building processes

The Machine Technology Group constitutes a unique area of expertise focused on the design and development of special machines and mechanical installations. The work includes, among other things, work platforms, scaffolding trolleys, drilling trolleys, robots for assembly and material handling, as well as equipment for demolition and heavy lifting. Through structural analyses, 3D CAD modeling, CE certification, inspections, and quality control, the group contributes to safer, more efficient, and more optimized construction processes in both simple and complex projects.
