We are working to reduce the impact of our projects on the environment. It is about material selection, certifications, LCA calculations, and robust climate adaptation.
DGNB certification
We work to reduce the impact of our projects on the environment. For us, DGNB Gold is the minimum standard for all our projects. We use DGNB certification as a tool that makes it easy to get all parties in a project to actively participate in the effort.
It also ensures that all aspects of the area are balanced as best as possible in the chosen solutions.
LCA, CO₂ and material selection
We are aware of our responsibility for the CO₂ footprint of our constructions, and we therefore always work actively with LCA (life cycle analysis) from the very early phases of the projects, where we actively engage in the process of finding the best balance with robust solutions with the lowest possible CO₂ footprint. To ensure a low CO₂ footprint in our constructions, we work with the choice of materials.
We focus on limiting the draw on new resources. Therefore, we work with hybrid solutions and various degrees of recycling to ensure that we find a mix of low CO₂ footprint, while at the same time delivering good and long-lasting solutions for both tenants and investors.
Operations
We always work to reduce the CO₂ footprint of the operation of the completed properties. The properties must be able to meet the future climate and upcoming regulatory requirements for sustainability solutions and operation.
Therefore, we always build to meet energy label A2020/lowest energy class, and ensure that our constructed properties comply with "EU Taxonomy 7.7 – Acquisition and ownership of buildings".
Climate adaptation and outdoor areas
It is not only the buildings themselves that we focus on, but we also focus on creating good recreational outdoor areas. Here it is often relevant to work actively with climate adaptation through local management of rainwater (LAR).
