Skanska's history in Denmark dates back to 1931, when the contracting company C.G. Jensen was founded. In 1961, Skanska took over the majority of shares. Later, several companies were acquired, and the name was changed to Skanska Denmark.
As a consequence of a new strategic focus in the Skanska Group, the contracting business was divested at the end of 2007. Today, Skanska's Danish activities consist of property and project development in Skanska A/S.
