Sweco gets more space in Ørestad

The architect and engineering consultant is expanding and has rented the entire 4th floor in Nest 45, the newest office building in Ørestad. Nest 45 is a sister building to Sweco's headquarters, and both buildings are constructed and leased by Skanska.

In 2018, Skanska handed over the keys to Ørestads Boulevard 41 to Sweco, which already five years ago experienced significant growth in the number of employees. Since then, Sweco has grown further, while Skanska has built another office building at Ørestads Boulevard 45.

It was therefore more than obvious that Sweco got the opportunity to rent a floor in the Nest 45 building, which is ideally designed for dynamic activity-based office work. From September 15 this year, Sweco will move 90 employees across the shared forecourt to the 1,315 m² large 4th floor in the sister building Nest 45.

The best solution
"We are experiencing increased demand and are therefore recruiting more colleagues for our offices, including our headquarters in Ørestad. We are therefore pleased that we can rent space in a neighboring building with a shared underground parking garage. It is the best solution for our space needs, where employees can easily get to and from the two buildings during a workday, use the shared facilities, and maintain close contact," says Dariush Rezai, CEO of Sweco Denmark.

The fact that it is a sister building of the same high quality as Sweco’s domicile also influenced the decision on the new lease.

"Nest 45, like our domicile, is sustainability certified to DGNB Gold, which provides good and healthy conditions for our employees," says Dariush Rezai.

Nest 45 is fully rented
With the rental of the 4th floor in Nest 45, the property is fully rented just a few months after its completion. The agreement also includes 32 parking spaces and storage rooms in the basement. Nest 45 attracted attention from day one in Ørestad, as the property houses both office space and a hotel in the Ibis Styles chain.

"It is exciting to see how much interest there has been in renting space in Nest 45. It is an attractive property with the combination of hotel and office as well as a very large shared underground parking garage, which offers many good solutions in the form of a multifunctional atrium, flexible layout, and optimized operations, which has made it possible to rent the entire building just months after it was completed at the turn of the year," explains Elo Alsing, who is Marketing Manager at Skanska.

He also highlights the pleasure that the good and long-standing cooperation between Skanska and Sweco is now being expanded with another agreement.

Facts about Nest 45
The office part of Nest 45 is 8,500 m². Nest 45 also consists of Hotel Ibis Styles with 186 rooms. Nest 45 is sustainability certified to DGNB Gold and is designed by Holscher Nordberg Architects.
