PensionDanmark buys two properties with office and hotel in Copenhagen from the property developer Skanska A/S

PensionDanmark has entered into an agreement with Skanska for the purchase of two properties in Bella Kvarter in Copenhagen. The properties are characterized by stable, long-term tenants and an attractive location with easy access to the motorway and a few meters to the nearest metro station.

”With the purchase, we strengthen our position in the Copenhagen commercial market. The properties are long-term investments with good solid tenants and good accessibility for their employees and guests. This gives the properties a strong basis for stable rental income and thus attractive returns for our members' pension savings,” says Torben Modvig, director at PensionDanmark Ejendomme.

The properties are respectively the headquarters for the architecture and engineering company Sweco and a combined office and hotel property with the energy and telecom group Norlys as the primary tenant of the office spaces. The buildings offer tenants flexible and modern frameworks with a wide range of facilities such as an atrium, rooftop terrace, and an underground parking garage. 

The hotel area operates as a 3-star Ibis Styles hotel with 186 rooms as well as a restaurant, bar, and modern guest facilities. The location just meters from the Bella Center metro station ensures quick connections to both Copenhagen Airport and the city center. The location close to the Royal Arena and Bella Center also makes the hotel attractive for guests in connection with concerts and international events.

At Skanska, the enthusiasm for the deal is reciprocated.

The concept has been attractive, and the properties have been fully leased from the time of construction.
